Jesus, I’m Yours: Day 3

Day 3: God’s Faithfulness

“The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.”
1 Corinthians 10:13 NLT

“Understand, therefore, that the Lord your God is indeed God. He is the faithful God who keeps his covenant for a thousand generations and lavishes his unfailing love on those who love him and obey his commands.”
Deuteronomy 7:9 NLT

Before you begin reading, look up these scriptures and write them down on a piece of paper or note cards. You'll find out what to do later in the post
2 Timothy 2:13
2 Thessalonians 3:3
1 John 1:9
Psalms 86:15

Faithfulness.
Something we all want to be and experience.
To be faithful is to be committed and know that we are getting the same in return.

In human experiences, it's difficult to know wether someone can or will be faithful in a matter of settings. We can experience the hurt when someone isn't faithful to their end of a bargain or agreement.

But with God, we don't have to worry about Him being faithful to us or not.

In my experience, I've wavered from God many times. Although I've grown up in a pastors home my entire life, there have been times where I wasn't where I needed to be, and I wasn't faithful to God in my prayer or Bible reading. But in all of my mistakes and mess ups and times where I didn't even want to talk to God, He still placed a calling on my life and He still chose to use me. Because HE is faithful in his promises.

1 Corinthians 10:13 tells us that what we are going through, the struggles we face are no different that what someone else may be going through.

We all go through times of hurt and confusion. God knows us more than we know ourselves because He is our creator. And this scripture tells us that he will not let us be tempted more than we can handle. So this struggle you're going through in your mind or heart, you CAN handle and you CAN get past this, because God wouldn't put more on you than you can stand.

He will ALWAYS give you a way out of whatever you're facing

So when you feel like you're at your breaking point and you're about to give up. Remember that God knows your strength. And when you're about to break, break into prayer, because that could be when God gives you the open door to escape.

He IS our hope for tomorrow.
The peace in our situations.
The understanding in our confusion.
The answers to our questions.
He is OUR God.
The one who never fails or wavers.
He IS our solid rock.
The one we place our foundation on.
The one who will keep us safe and who will protect us.

The verses up above, look those up in your Bible and write them down on a sheet of paper or note cards.
Throughout the rest of this devotional series I want you to read those every morning and night. Use those to pray and to help you remember that this hard time you're going through, you're not alone. God is with you and He will remain to stay by your side. You just have to allow Him to be there.

Prayer: Thank you Jesus for keeping me and loving me. That you for your never ending faithfulness for me. Even when I waver and am tossed by the winds and waves of this world, you remain the same. You never change, your mercy will always be here for me to grab and your love will always be wrapped around me. Thank you again for your faithfulness and help me to be faithful to you. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
