Jesus, I’m Yours: Day 2

Day 2: God’s Wisdom

“This foolish plan of God is wiser than the wisest of human plans, and God’s weakness is stronger than the greatest of human strength.”
1 Corinthians 1:25 NLT

“In him lie hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
Colossians 2:3 NLT

“But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and the fruit of good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere.”
James 3:17 NLT

“If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.”
James 1:5 NLT

Wisdom.
This is something that we should all strive to ask for.

Just having knowledge alone is not good enough. You can still be foolish and have knowledge. But wisdom, which means having experience, knowledge and good judgement, comes from God.

In 1 Corinthians 1:25 it says that the foolish plan of God is wiser than the wisest of human plans. This isn't saying that God is foolish, but it's making a point by saying that the “wise” plans humans have for themselves can't and will never be able to compare to the wisdom of God. This should make us stop and think for a minute, God is so amazing. He is so powerful that his wisdom surpasses anything we could ever imagine.

Colossians 2:3 says in HIM lies all the treasures of knowledge and wisdom. His wisdom is pure, it is good, it is love. In Him we can find these things just knowing about his wisdom. If we can find love and mercy through his wisdom, what more could we find if we get into a deeper relationship with Him?
James tells us in James 1:5 that if we need wisdom, just ask for it
In all of the things that we are looking for, all we have to do is ASK. Not only to ask for knowledge but to ask for wisdom in all our circumstances so that we can understand what to do. So that we can seek after Him and not be afraid of what could happen. So we can have wisdom and understanding when searching in scripture. HE is all we need. And we can find wisdom and so much more in Him if we search through scripture and through prayer. He will reveal the truth and take away our confusion, all we need to do is ask.

Prayer: Jesus I thank you for all you have done for me. You've woken me up another day and have kept me safe. I pray that you would reveal to me your power and your wisdom. That you would give me the wisdom I need to better understand you and your word. I want to continually seek after you and I pray you would help me dig deeper and place a higher calling on my life. Guide and direct my path. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
